Italy enchants its visitors with its most classic and known destinations all over the world, but the whole peninsula shines with its small jewels of art, nature and culture. It is in fact the country with the largest number of sites recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. We have selected for you some of the most beautiful villages of central Italy, for a one-week full immersion in which there will be time to visit cities such as Rome and Florence, but also less known places in Lazio and Tuscany, with guided visits, wine and food tasting, stays in characteristic dwellings and shopping in the “sanctuaries” of the great Italian designers. Our journey begins in Rome with a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, and then to the Castelli Romani, an area a few kilometres south of the capital whose history is closely interwoven with that of ancient Rome.

An area that has always been a favourite place of the noble Roman families in summer for the beauty of the landscapes and the warm and healthy climate. We will visit Castel Gandolfo, overlooking the lake of Albano with the Pope’s summer residence and its beautiful gardens. To follow, we will enjoy Nemi, another charming, small village at the peak of the homonymous lake, famous for the cultivation of flowers and strawberries. We will explore the Roman countryside on our wine Bus that will stop in some of the best wineries in Frascati, with wine tastings offered and explained by the producers. We will also visit an ice cream parlor where we will enjoy its homemade products. We will spend the night in a scattered hotel in Zagarolo, a formula that allows you to be guests of private homes taking advantage of the services of a hotel. Here we will visit historic bakeries (some with over 300 years of activity) that have always baked bread in wood burning ovens using traditional recipes.

We will then move on to the north of Rome, visiting an Outlet and Civita di Bagnoregio, a beautiful semi-abandoned village, known for its beauty and the long and narrow bridge from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley. Afterward, we will discover the sacred grove and the “Monster Park” of Bomarzo, designed in 1500, and Orvieto, an authentic open-air museum with its art heritage and its splendid cathedral. Moreover, we will stop in the Orcia Valley where we will visit Pienza, a Renaissance town in which we will admire the Church of San Francesco with its frescoes dedicated to the life of the saint. We will continue to Montepulciano, enclosed by ancient and imposing walls, famous for its fragrant “Nobile” wine ,one of the most appreciated red wines in Italy. Finally, we will reach Florence and see the Uffizi Gallery and other sites attracting tourists from all over the world every year.
