The glutton heaven:
discovering the flavours
of the Castelli Romani

4 days/3 nights

The daily miracle of baking, exploring the special proposals of a traditional restaurant, learning how to cook tasty dishes based on local products and exploring the vineyards with their producers.
Four days immersed in a landscape rich in history of the Castelli Romani to experience flavours that you will not forget while visiting Castel Gandolfo, Zagarolo and Rome.
We will begin our tour in Zagarolo, a medieval town surrounded by woods. We will stay in a scattered hotel, a formula that allows you to be guests of private homes using the services of a hotel. Zagarolo boasts an ancient tradition of bakery art: we will visit its historic bakeries (300 years in the business) that make bread according to traditional recipes.
We will also explore the village of Castel Gandolfo where we will dine in a very special restaurant built in a suggestive cave where we can admire a collection of ancient toys and tools.
We will continue with the visit of the Pope’s summer residence, overlooking the Albano lake and the Vatican gardens.
Cooking sessions to experience the recipes of the Roman tradition at Antonello Colonna Resort.
A minivan will take us to some wineries in Frascati where we will walk and taste local produce. Lunch on site. We will also stop for some home made ice-cream where we will enjoy unusual specialties.
Finally we will visit the Archaelogical Museum of Palestrina where we will discover the most important findings of the ancient city of Praeneste. Lunch at a local farm.
