The Museum of Roman Ships and Diana Nemorense Sanctuary
The visit will begin in the museum of Nemi’s Roman Ships and will continue with a walk in the sanctuary area.
Visitors will be told the ancient history of the lake basin with its two boats built by Emperor Caligula and sunk because of his “damnatio memoriae”.
Moreover, they will discover the various mythological figures that populated the valley of the lake, first of all Diana Nemorense.
